Kuntoro Mangkusubroto is the Chairperson of the Steering Committee of the Tropical Landscapes Finance Facility. Since 2016 he is a member of the OECD High Level Panel on the Future of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) and a Distinguished Practitioner of the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. He is also actively involved as a member of the UN High Level Experts and Leaders Panel on Water and Disasters (HELP) since 2013, a council member of International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) since 2012, and the Founder and Chairman of the School Advisory Council of the School of Business & Management in Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) since 2003. In the past he was the Head of the Presidential Taskforce for REDD+ (2011-2013), Head of the President’s Delivery Unit for Development Monitoring and Oversight (UKP4) (2009 – 2014), Head of the Aceh-Nias Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Agency (2005 – 2009), CEO PT PLN (Persero) (2000 – 2001), and Minister for Mining and Energy (1998 – 1999).
Mr. Mangkusubroto gained his S1 – Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from ITB in 1972, his Masters – Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University, USA in 1976, Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Stanford University, USA in 1977, and his S3 – Doctoral of Decision Science from ITB in 1982. He was granted a Professor of Decision Science of School of Business & Management from ITB in 2012 and Honorary Doctor (Dr. HC) of Engineering from Northeastern University, USA in 2012.
